Eboni, wood

is a black timber. It is also known as Makassar wood, ebony wood or Areng. In the West there is Cormandel wood. In Bali and Lombok is called Areng wood and it is used for handles. It is a hard and heavy wood with density 1.3 and will not be used for Warangkas. In Yogykarta and Surakarta they do not like this wood and using other types of wood.

Eko Supriyono

is a known Mranggi or warangka builder in Yogyakarta. He builds Warangkas in Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Madura, Malaysia, Palembang and Bali style. He uses wood as well as horn and ivory.

Empu

is a creator of a keris. This has mastered many arts such as forms, etc. This he can only when he prays and fasts a lot, then he succeeds also a masterpiece. Previously the good Empu were always to Keraton (palace) appointed to carry out their work there. Therefore, you will find you have more krisses, which were manufactured in the palace as outside. Ento Wayang, Ki Empu

was a well known Empu in the era of the Kingdom Kartasura (18th century). He is the son of Empu Supanjang or Suponyang, grandson of Empu Cinde Amoh. He is the ancestor of the still living today Empu Djeno Harumbrodjo in Yogyakarta. The peculiarities of his krisses were not recorded, but his family members have only made krisses in Mataram style. The blades were thinner than normally in Kartasura.

Epek

is a traditional belt for formal occasions in Java. It is embellished with fabric and gold embroidery. He is about 2 inches (6 cm) wide and 37 to 55 inches (95 to 140 cm) long. It is provided with a complex coupling, called Timang.

Eri Cangkring

or Ri Cangkring is a part of the opening of a warangka in Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Madura and Bali style. It is sharp (pointed) and about 0.2 inches (5 mm) long. It is found in the middle of the opening, and shows the direction of Pesi on.
