Neuartiges Borneo Mandau, bo01

 

Dies ist ein neuartiges Borneo Schwert, genannt Mandau. Die gerade Klinge ist aus Stahl und weist auf einer Seite ein Schlangenmotiv auf.

 

Die Scheide ist aus leichtem Holz, welches abwechelnd hell braun und rot braun ist. An der Seite befindet sich eine Kordel aus Bast zum Tragen des Mandau. Der Griff ist aus rot braunem Holz mit einem Haarschweif.

 

Die Klinge ist 42,30 cm lang, die Gesamtlänge beträgt 67,00 cm. Das Gesamtgewicht beträgt 494 Gramm.

 

 

New Borneo Mandau, bo01

 

This is a new Borneo sword, called Mandau. The straight blade is made from steel and you find a nice snake ornament.

 

The sheath is made from light wood which is red brown and light brown coloured. On one side there is a phloem cord to wear the weapon. The hilt is made from red brown coloured wood with a hair tail.

 

The length of the blade is about 16 5/8 inches (42.30 cm) and the total length about 26 3/8 inches (67.00 cm). The total weight is 494 grams.
