Kembang Kacang

or Telale Gajah or Sekar Kacang is the name of a part which resembles the shape of a betel nut or the trunk of an elephant. Therefore it is called in Malaysia, Brunei, Sarawak, Sabah, Palembang, Pontianak and also in Riau Belalai Gajah (Elephant Trunk). Below the Kembang Kacang find, if any, Jalen, Lamber Gajah and Jalu Memet. Not all krisses have a Kembang Kacang, e.g. from the Tangguh Buda. There are many types of Kembang Kacang who can see Thiem here. In Riau and Malaysia there are the forms Saing, Kuku Ala and Lidah Tiang.

Kemuning

or also in West Java Kemunding is a type of wood and is often used for handles of a Keris. It is a tough but easy to carving and good wood. On the mainland of Riau, Palembang, Malaysia and Sarawak, it is also often used for Warangkas. In Java it is rare to find large Kemuning - trees, in Malaysia they are there very often.

Kendaga

is a small box for storage of a keris. Normally the lid with carvings is provided. It is maybe in teak or mahogany. It is designed with a thick cloth. It is space enough for one or two krisses and it is particularly suitable for krisses with pamor Udan Mas, Pancuran Mas or other pamor motives which bring wealth.

Kendit, Mendak

is a mendak from Surakarta. It is normally set with stones that are reasonably large. It has the motive Kendit or Ikat Pinggang (belt).

Kendit, Pelet

is the image of the view of a warangka or a handle for a keris. It appears in a dark brown color as a line from one to the other side. There are various types of Pelet Kendit:

Kendit Putih, Pelet

is the image of the view of a warangka from Timaha wood with a white line against a dark brown background. Warangkas with Pelet Kendit Putih are in high demand at keris experts associates, not only because they are rare, but also because they have positive magic power. You should mainly take care of the property and people inspire respect. This wood is difficult to find and usually small, so that there is only enough for handles.

Kenube

is a kind of machete, but the shape is a traditional weapon of Flores, Nusa Tengga Timur, similar to Bendo in Central Java and East Java. The Kenube has a sharp side. The length is 30 - 45 cm without handle, which is made of wood or goat bones. The width of the blade is between 5 and 7 cm.

Keris

Since 11-25-05 it is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a traditional weapon from Indonesia. There are also krisses in Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines. In Java krisses belong to Tosan Aji. In Java a keris is  also called Curiga, Duwung or Wangkingan and in Bali Kadutan or Kedutan, in other areas, there are the names like Tappi, Selle, Gayang, Kres, Kris or Karieht. The krisses shown above are less common. They are from left to right from Nias (West Nusa Tenggara), Bima and Gayo in North Sumatra.

Keris Pichit

is a keris which is so named in Riau and Malaysia, Sabah and parts of Brunei. On Java it's Pejetan or Pijitan. It is one of the Keris Tayuhan.

Keris Rucah

is a Keris of low quality. The appreciation cannot be objective, of course. This includes the krisses not corresponding to the normal form. Keris Owah-Owahan also belongs to this variety of a  Keris Rucah.

Keris Sajen

is a simple and small keris wherein the handle is integral with the blade. Normally, the handle is a human. Krisses have only pamor Sanak. From people in the West a Keris Majapahit is often called Keris Sajen, but this is incorrect because a keris from the Tangguh Majapahit is very expensive and more valuable than the simple Keris Sajen.

Keris Tindih

is the name of a keris with a positive magical power. For this purpose generally includes krisses of an old Tangguh and the Dapur Jalak Budo, Betok, Semar Tinandu and Semar Betak also krisses from Dapur Tilam Upih may include at the moment. The kirsses almost always have a warangka Sandang Walikat, only some have a warangka Gayaman, but never a Waranka Ladrang or Branggah.

Kewalan

is a carrying method of a keris in Central Java in general and Surakarta in particular. It may only be worn by soldiers in emergencies like this. If the soldier is safe, it must not be so worn.
