Baru Penatas

is a Dapur of a straight Tombak. The blade is thin and flat and symmetrical. The form looks in the middle like a waist, called Bangkekan. The blade is wider on the Bangkekan than under the Bangkekan. Below you will also find a Bungkul.

 

 

Baru Tropong

is a Dapur a straight Tombak. The blade is flat, quite thick and symmetrical. It has a waist shape called Bangkekan. The waist is not thin. This Tombak has an Ada-Ada, the Bungkul is very large.

 

 

Bassi Pamaro

is a part of the pamor Luwu and used in Riau, Malaysia, Singapore and Southern Thailand. In Brunei it is called pamor Basi. The pamor was introduced by sailors from Bugis since the era of Majapahit.

 

 

Batang Gajah, Kanjeng Kyai

is a Pusaka Keris from Keraton Yogyakarta and has Dapur Carita 11 Luk. The warangka is from Trembalo - wood and a pendok made of gold in Blimbingan Rinaja color.

 

 

Batang Sunah

is a part of  the Waranga (Sarung Keris) and is so named in Riau, Sambas, Pontinak, Semenanjung, Malaysia, Sarawak and Brunei. It is the connection to the gandar.

 

Batu Lapak

is a pamor motive which you can always find just at the Sor Soran or at the lower part of a blade of a keris, Badík, Pedang or Tombak. The shape is a series of strokes that form a hill. This pamor is pamor Miring and Rekan. If you follow the opinion of some kriss experts this pamor is a completement to other pamor motives which are more dominant. Bawang Sebungkul

or Bawang Sabungkal is a pamor motive that looks like a slice of onion, and you can find it only at the Sor-Soran of a keris, Badík, Pedang or Tombak. The pamor is a pamor Miring and pamor Rekan. They are found near other dominant pamor motives and therefore it is also pamor Titipan. The magic power helps in the family and gives the owner force. Bebondolan

is a model of Bali - handle. This handle has a large "head". Left and right of the handle it has 5 cuts, on the front side one cut, in total there are thus 11 notches. On Lombok, the handle Bebondolan is called Cekah Redut or Cekah Sola. Cekah means incision and Solas 11.

 

 

Bekel Jati, Empu

is a Empu of Tuban who lived in the era of Majapahit (13th - 15th century). His trademark were krisses inclined with a long average blade to the side and to the front, as if it were "bent". The ganja was thin and it has a Ganja Wuwung. The blades were barely visible wound that Kembang Kacang was good but the Lambe Gajah small. He used for the general public the pamor Wos Wutah, Bendo Segara and Udan Mas.

Bengkuang

or Bangkuang can be found at the bottom of a rencong. It's like a Kembang Kacang but only turned around and about 2 mm thick and  tapers the top  together. The people of Aceh tell Bengkuang forms  the claw of an eagle. This hook was intended that the rencong fit into the sheath.

 

 

Berang

resembling a Chinese butcher knife, the shape is different and much more beautiful. It is approx.  9 inches (22 cm) long and 5 inches (12 cm) wide. Previously families on the northern coast of Central Java and East Java parts used this Berang . The handle resembles the handle of a Wedung. This had previously only the residents in Surakarta and Yogyakarta. The scabbard is made of wood.

Beras Wutah, Pelet

is a motive for warangka from Timoho wood. The picture is made up of large and small black or brown spots, which are scattered all over the area. Some keris experts think that Timoho Pelet Wood  Beras Wutah has a positive force for the owner. This wood is quite expensive. It is also used for the warangka of a keris or Tombak.

 

 

Besi

is the Indonesian word for iron.This is used for producing a Keris, tombak, Pedang or other traditional weapon. The following varieties are used

Besi Kuning

means "yellow iron" and is used for the production of traditional weapons and Tojan Aji. The name comes from the fact that this metal has a yellow color. It is not used for a Keris with Luk  or pamor, but for Pangot, Patrem and small Golok. The old people report that this Besi Kuning is a mixture of iron, bright tin, silver, zinc, copper and gold. It is believed it has a mystical power, and you will be invincible against other weapons.

Betok

is a Dapur of a straight keris. The blade is wider and shorter than a normal blade. The Gandik is simple and quite long. Usually there is this Dapur only for ancient keris. Keris with Dapur Betok include Keris Buda and Jalak Buda. Keris Betok is the common name for a short and wide blades and therefore this Dapur is then divided into Betok Jalak and Betok Brojol. Betok is a kind of freshwater fish.

Bibir Gajah

is a part of the blade and is so named in Malaysia and parts of Sumatra. The Javanese keris experts call this part  Lambe Gajah, check this also Ricikan.

 

Bima, Keris

is a keris that almost resembles the Bugis Keris. The sheath of a Bima Keris has valuable equipped, mostly with gold and precious stones. The blades are usually stranger than the Bugis Keris. One often used pamor are Luwu species and often you find the pamor Adeg.

Bima Kroda

or Bima Kurda is the name of two types of Dapur of a keris. The first Dapur has 13 Luk. The Keris has a Kembang Kacang and Jenggot Sungun. It has only one Lambe Gajah and Jalen, but no Sogokan and Tikel Alis. The Greneng is complete. Previously, many soldiers have krisses obsessed with this Dapur. The second Dapur has 23 Luk and one of the most unusual keris, it is given the additional Kalawijan (uncommon). The blades are longer than an usual Keris. Their Ricikan consist Kembang Kacang, two Lambe Gajah, two Sogokan. Sometimes you can find a complete Greneng, but often only Ri Pandan. Bima is in the wayang stories the second son of Pandawa. Kurda means active or working.
