Soru

is a war unit that is used by a part of the population in Nusa Tenggar Timur, particularly on Flores. It resembles a Kapak, ax, and is made of metal with a wooden handle. Since the 20th century it is used for logging.

Sotya

is part of a wooden handle Tayuman and has some good magical powers following the meaning of some keris experts.

Sraweyan

or Sarewehan or Serewehan is a form of part of a blade of a keris, behind the Sogokan Belakang and near the Greneng. The upper end is usually unclear. Not all krisses have a Sraweyan, z. B. Tilam Upih or Betok. Also krisses with Kruwingan have no Sraweyan.

Sri Sedana, Kanjeng Kyai

is a Pusaka Keris of  the Kraton Yogyakarta. It comes from the Dapur Tilam Upih. The warangka is made of Timaha wood. The pendok is a pendok Bunton made of tinsel and decorated with precious stones.

Srumbung

has three meanings in the world of krisses. First, it refers to a Ricikan. It is a mendak made of metal and located inside near the Pesi. The second meaning is a piece of metal, usually zinc, brass or iron to connect a broken Pesi. The third meaning is part of a Karah Tombak. It is made of metal and is located above the Landeyan of a Tombak.

Subur, Empu Ki

is an Empu in the Sultanate Demak in the 16th century.

Sudu Bekang, Keris

This term can be found in Malaysia, Southern Thailand and Riau and it referred to the shape of a blade tip of a keris. In Indonesia krisses are denoted by this form often if they come as Sombro from Dapur Brojol, in Malaysia as Sudu Bekang.

Suduk Maru

is the Dapur of a Pedang in Java, which is popular and often found. Many Pedang are decorated with kinatah and Sinarasah. The blade is 45 to 65 cm long. This Dapur were often found in Tuban and Mataram. But there is also a small keris called Suduk Maru. It is one of the krisses because there is a ganja. The length is approximately 22 cm and has usually warangka Sandang Walikat. This keris is usually worn by women.

Sugihan, Kanjeng Kayai

is a Pusaka Keris of the Kraton Yogyakarta. It is from Dapur Pasopati. The warangka is equipped with sandalwood and gold.

Sujen Ampel

is the Dapur of a straight keris. The blade length is normal, not broad, but relatively thick. This Dapur has a Kembang Kacang, Jenggot, a Lambe Gajah, Ri Pandan, Greneng Sungsun. Krisses with this Dapur are generally valid for a pamor at the Sor-Soran. Sujen Ampel is also a straight Dapur of a Tombak and this is very similar to Dapur Tumbuk.

Sulawesi, Keris

have a particular form. Krisses have a great tradition in South Sulawesi and also in Central Sulawesi. This keris have a curved shape and have no Lis-Lisan, Gusen or Kruwingan. The pamor is pamor Luwu. The shape of Sulawesi Keris follows the shapes of the Bugis krisses. A customised shape has Keris Bima.

In Sulawesi the pamor motives have other names than in Java

· Kul Buntut becomes Baribojo

· Ujung Gunung becomes Lakurisi

· Pamor Mlumah / Wos Wutah becomes Lagencong

· Ngulit Semangka becomes Lagaring

· Tetesing Warih becomes Ladedde

· Sumsum Buron becomes Latoasse

 

The orientation of the handles is different from area to area and different times it is parallel to the opening of the sheath (Hulu sejajar), sometimes crosswise position (Hulu Serong), sometimes both are possible.

Sulu, Keris

are better known as Sundang. They come from the south of the island Mindanau and some small islands in the south and west of the Philippines, see also Sundang.

Sumber, Pamor

is a pamor that only appears on the Ganja. It consists of many circles and there are at least 3. Each circuit itself consists of a minimum of 6 circles. This pamor has good magical powers and is wanted by people, it helps to get wealth and good water.

Sumbu Keris

is called  the Ada-Ada by some people in South Kalimantan and Malaysia.

Sumelang Gandring

is also called Jalak Sumelang Gandring and is the form of a straight keris with a normal blade length. This Dapur has a simple Gandik, a front Sogokan, at the rear there is no Sogkoan. It has Sraweyan and Tinggil. This Dapur is rare but known. Probably also because there is a Pusaka Keris with this designation.
