Lis Lisan

or Elis is a bar as a limit and as long as the blade edge, from the Kembang Kacang tothe blade tip and back to the Greneng. On the surface of the blade between the side edges it is called Gusen.

Loceng

or Locengan is the shape of a handle or Daganan or Landeyan from Bali. The shape is relatively simple, but often it is decorated with precious stones.

Longok

is a form of a handle of Surakarta. This handle is similar to Samba Keplayu or the original handle Pesisiran and it is very popular.

Loning, Empu

is a known Empu at the era of Pajajaran.

Lujuguna, Empa

is a known Empu at the era of Kartasura.

Luk

is the name for the bending of the blade (turn). You can see the keris into two major units divided: the straight keris (Keris Lurus) and with spiral blades (Keris Luk). The Keris Luk with a distinction Luk is Keris with Kemba (flat coils), Luk Sedang (normal turns) and Luk Rengkol (pronounced turns). The Keris Luk with Kemba found in Bugis, Malaysia, Brunei, Pontianak and Sambas. The Keris Java from the Tangguh Majapahit Mataram Senopaten are Keris Luk Sedang, just as the keris Palembang. Keris from the Tangguh Pengging and parts from the Tangguh Sultan Agung particularly the Tangguh Mataram Amangkuratan are among Luk Rengkol. Some keris experts compared Keris Lurus with a resting stroke and Keris Luk with a snake in motion. A distinction is at Keris Kemba a snake that retracts at Luk Sedang a snake that moves and Luk Rengkol a snake that swims straight. The snake is regarded as guardians for all directions. The counting of Luk begins at the Pangkal (below) and goes up to the top (above). There is also an unusual Dapur with Luk, it is the Dapur Sengol

Lung Gandu

is the Dapur of a keris and a Tombak. The keris has 13 Luk and the Ricikan are Kembang Kacang, one Lambe Gajah, Sraweyan and Ri Pandan. The Tombak has 9 Luk. The entire surface is covered with kinatah with decorating Lung Lungan. A Tombak with this Dapur is rare.

Lung Kamarogan, Kinatah

or Lung Kemarogan is an ornament in relief on the surface of a Keris or tombak. It is usually coated with gold. It extends either only on the lower third of the blade and on the bottom half or almost to the top.

is the dapur of a Pedang and belongs to the Pedang Sabet.
