Jenggot

or Janggut is a Ricikan or part of a keris. They are the spiny projections of a Kembang Kacang. The shape resembles the shape of Ronda or Ri Panden. Mostly there are 3 Jenggot, but there are also krisses with only one Jenggot. If there are more than 3 it is called Jenggot Sungsun or Jenggot Robyong.

Jenu, Tannguh

According to old Keris books it is a Tangguh. But this is common only in Yogyakarta and Surakarta. The krisses from this Tangguh are relatively short, only 30 to 31 cm long. According to some sources Jenu is an abbreviation of Empu Jaka Sura.

Jigja, Ki Empu

is a known Empu from the era of the kingdom of Majapahit. He is the son of Empu Singkir alias Empu Angga who lived in the era of Majapahit. There is by him a few but very nice krisses. The blades are normally long, stocky but make a smooth impression. The Sogokan and Blumbangan are inside and the Kembang Kacang robust. The Greneng or Ri Pandan are clear and relatively large.

 

Jimat, Kanjeng Kyai

is a Pusaka Tombak of the Keraton Yogyakarta. It is from Dapur Kudup Gambir. This Tombak even should have possessed Hamengku Buwono I.

 

Jirak, Empu

is an Empu in the area Tuban, who lived in the era of Majapahit, about the end of the 12th century. His krisses are known, because they have a unique character. The iron is rough but solid, the most pamors are Wos Wutah or Ngulit Semangka. The blade is normally long and in the "waist" slim, the Gandik short and the Ganja Wuwung.

 

Johan Mangan Kala

is a Dapur with 13 Luk. The blade length is normal, the Ada-Ada appears clear, that Gandik simply, there are two Sogokan, Sraweyan and Greneng is complete. There is also a straight keris, which is then called Johan Mangan Kala Leres.

 

Jung Isi Dunya

is a pamor and belongs to pamor Mumiah. This pamor can occur on many parts of the blade, at the Sor-Soran, in the middle or at the top. The pamor looks like small balls which are surrounded on the outside by a boundary. One finds this pamor to complement Wos Wutah or Ngulit Semangka, but also alone. The magical power helps to make wealth and fortune.

Jurigan

is a warangka from Madura, which is also called Sandang Walikat. Unlike the Sandang Walikat of Surakarta and Yogyakarta is usually carved very costly.
